Here's the page where I put other projects I work on that aren't cool enough for
their own 50megs.com spam, but are cool enough for other people to know about when
they're really bored and should be asleep. Not all of them are mine, and I'll indicate
when they aren't.
Terragen Renders
Terragen is one of those neat programs that is so awesome you should get it right now.
With the simple input of a few variables, you can create "near-photo-realistic terrain".
The strange thing is, the site isn't full of crap when it says how good the renders look.
Don't let my bad ones fool you - with a little more patience than I have in tweaking the
variables, you can get ones much better.
Unreal Tournament maps[link broken]
Unreal Tournament is the best. Multiplayer. Game. Evar.
Only one, crappy map released so far, but I'm spending a lot more time on the current
one - a Matrix-inspired ONS highway chase. If you're so crazy you haven't bought this
game, get the demo from the Unreal Tournament website.
Amateur Scientist(not mine)
This guy has some of the standard wacky stuff, but there are some hilarious "Evil
Genius" prank ideas, and an interesting article on so-called 'traffic waves' that
should be a good read for anyone else who is stuck on the freeway every day swearing
at the idiot in front of you. Consider traffic as a viscous liquid and drive better
today!
Unreal Tournament "propaganda" posters(not mine)
This is kinda related to the Unreal Tournament 2004 link. There's a new gametype
in Unreal Tournament called Onslaught, and along with any gametype comes a bunch
of idiots who don't know how to play it. This is a collection of posters that
make fun of these idiots who screw up the game by running away when you link up because
they think you're shooting them, or don't know how to go up in the stupid Raptor.
RTM, losers. /rant
